One thing that truly saved my bacon was to freeze entrees.<br /><br />I&#39;d cook large portions and freeze a servin&#39; for each. Then in a pinch all I had to do is nuke a tader, toss a salad and walah....supper is on the table.<br /><br />It worked so well that I still do it after I&#39;ve retired. I vowed never to bring work home. If I had to stay late one night a week to make sure that this happened, I would do that instead of bring work home. Home is home and work is work and they should be separate. So I completely agree with you on that one. And we also have a no screen time rule. One night a week, there are absolutely no screens at all - no iPhones, TV, iPads, Leapsters whatever.
