I remember thinking the same thing you had right after my first was born. He was only 6 weeks old and got new pjs (still the tradition) a can of formula, medium flow nipples and a toy he didn't play with for a good 6 months. I felt guilty for not getting him more, but couldn't really think of anything else. But then Christmas day was great. I loved just holding him and enjoying being with family. Then he smiled for the first time that day. The best present that year for sure. I'm glad you take the time to blog, even though I don't always take the time to comment, I enjoy reading. I love your pics and all the adventures in new motherhood bring back memories.
